New Extension Forester at the University of Florida

Dr. Marian Marinescu's appointment of 70% research and 30% extension will focus on bio energy, forest products industry competitiveness and nontraditional and innovative forest products and services. He comes to Florida from Canada with expertise in marketing and economics of forest products. For existing industry, he offers quality control and process improvement workshops. For landowners and future industry prospects, he offers bio energy products and marketing support for small diameter timber. Dr. Marinescu is located at the West Florida Research and Education Center in Milton. He can be reached at marinescu@ufl.edu.
