ACADEMIC RANK, SALARY AND BENEFITS: Academic Rank: County Agent III (Equivalent to Assistant Professor), Tenure track, 12 months, 100% Extension. Salary: Commensurate with education and experience; minimum starting salary of $57,138. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from accredited institutions in environmental science, environmental planning, natural resource management, environmental engineering, or related field. Three years minimum post-degree professional experience required for appointment to the rank of County Agent III (equivalent to Assistant Professor). Environmental science or natural resource management training or experiences are preferred. Research experience in experimental design, data collection, evaluation and analysis is preferred. Effective public speaking and presentation skills for program delivery and communications to clientele are required. Supervisory or managerial experience as it relates to staff and volunteer management. Computer proficiency is required. A valid driver’s license or ability to acquire said license is a necessity for the performance of this position. Willingness and dedication to commit to the long hours associated with the position. Ability to work cooperatively and communicate with staff and clientele. The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Total Maximum Daily Load process, as well as the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Integrated Report. The candidate should also have experience with and knowledge of pollutant fate and transport and source track down of nonpoint source pollution.
