AUBURN -- With the escalating worldwide demand for new sources of energy, Auburn University is launching a new research center to bolster research already under way or planned for the near future in several schools and colleges.

The American Tree Farm System (ATFS), a program of the American Forest Foundation, named Tom and Sherry Fox of Lewis County, Washington, as the 2005 National Outstanding Tree Farmers of the Year. The Foxs received their award during the National Tree Farmer Convention held in Springfield, Mass. This annual ATFS award recognizes outstanding sustainable forest management on privately owned forestland.
This conference will give landowners a strong understanding of how the carbon market operates. In addition, landowners will be able to compare all three aggregators working in Arkansas to determine who they feel is most qualified to handle their credits at the most affordable price.
