2008 NE Utilization and Marketing Meeting Announced

The 2008 NE U&M Meeting will be held June 2 - 5, 2008 in Blacksburg, VA.
Dr. Bob Smith and Dr. Charlie Becker are looking forward to everyone coming to Virginia this year for the NE U&M meeting and would like to announce the dates so everyone can get them on their calendars. A full agenda and registration will be coming out in late March. Some of the tours and topics will include the Wood Education Resource Center in Princeton, WV; Virginia Tech & the Brooks Wood Products Lab, Institute for Advanced Learning and Research in Danville, southern pine sawmill, dry kiln, planer and shaving operation, southern pine post operation and pressure treatment plant, information on biomass energy, nanotechnology, ecological services, lean manufacturing, etc. They also plan for a few other activities, including a tour of Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson.
