The results of the 2016-2017 Southern Regional Extension Forestry Awards for Excellence. 24 projects with 62 unique project contributors were honored with gold, silver, and bronze awards based on votes from Extension peers.
Each year, the Southern Regional Extension Forestry Awards for Excellence highlight outstanding Extension forestry and natural resource projects from across the southeastern United States. Extension professionals nominate projects for awards, and from those nominations, a jury of Extension peers selects the most innovative and influential entries. Based on the voting tallies, each award winner receives a score of bronze, silver or gold. Below is the awards list with links to each project where available. This year, we gave out 24 awards total to be distributed among 62 unique Extension collaborators. Please take a moment to peruse the list and explore these amazing education and outreach products and services from some of the most talented Extension professionals working in the field today.
