USDA Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) Live Internet Based Seminar

— filed under:

Emily Horsley with USDA FSA will provide an overview of the BCAP program followed by an open question and answer period. Participants will need broadband Internet access and a phone line to attend this session. The seminar will be Wednesday, February 23rd from 1 – 2 EST.

The Biomass Crop Assistance Program (BCAP) provides financial assistance to owners and operators of agricultural and non-industrial private forest land who wish to establish, produce, and deliver biomass feedstocks. BCAP provides two categories of assistance:

  1. Matching payments may be available for the delivery of eligible material to qualified biomass conversion facilities by eligible material owners. Qualified biomass conversion facilities produce heat, power, biobased products, or advanced biofuels from biomass feedstocks.

  1. Establishment and annual payments may be available to certain producers who enter into contracts with the Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) to produce eligible biomass crops on contract acres within BCAP project areas.

You must register to participate in this session. You can register online here.

Registrants will receive complete instructions to access the live webinar session via email two days before the session on Monday, February 21st.
