Sustainable Silvopasture Systems for Small Farmers Field Day and Training
Silvopasture is a combination of livestock, timber production, and forage management. Benefits of silvopasture management include diversify sources of income for the landowner, and provide relative stability within fluctuating crop and commodity markets. It is designed to produce a high-value timber component, while providing short-term cash flow from the livestock component. The Alabama Cooperative Extension System's (ACES) Urban Affairs and New Nontraditional Programs Unit, the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University's (AAMU) College of Agricultural are pleased to present the Sustainable Silvopasture Systems Field Day and Training Workshop
