Forestry & Natural Resource Awards Highlight Creativity and Innovation of Southern Extension Specialists
Athens, GA - November 19, 2013. The Southern Regional Extension Forest Resources Awards for Excellence were completed and announced today in Athens, Georgia.
The Southern Regional Extension Forest Resources Awards for Excellence were completed and announced recently in Athens, Georgia. A panel of four Extension Specialists provided the expertise to judge the nominations in several categories including Extension Publication, Newsletter, Journal Publication, Mass Media, Video, Research Technology Transfer, Computer Software and/or Website, Multi-State or Regional Project, Youth and Teacher Education, Project Administration and National/International Project. Awards are based on innovativeness, ability to show impact, replicability across state line, role of nominee and a variety of other criteria. Awards are based on merit with Gold level achieving the highest cumulative ranking, then Silver and Bronze.
