2007 Urban Extension Conference - Call for Presentations

2007 Urban Extension Conference - Call for Presentations

The Urban Extension Conference will be May 7-10, 2007 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. It is being planned by the 12 North Central states and hosted by University of Missouri Extension. The planning committee has issued a call for presentations, and is looking for outstanding presenters to attend America’s finest urban conference for Extension Professionals whose focus is reaching new and diverse audiences in urban communities across the county.

Workshops will be one hour in length, including time for questions and answers. The Poster Session will last for two hours and will be scheduled around and during lunch in an environment to encourage maximum one-to-one and small group interaction with poster presenters. Workshops and posters should meet conference goals on issues facing Extension. The opportunity to submit proposals on-line will be available soon.

We hope you will encourage faculty and staff to discover and explore innovative, cutting-edge Extension programs being offered in urban centers across the country. This professional conference will offer an array of workshops, seminars, speakers and exhibits that will stimulate and inspire a renewed, shared vision for Extension urban programming and outreach. The conference is for extension educators, faculty and staff who work in urban, suburban and highly populated areas, who provide administrative and program leadership on the local, state and federal level, or have responsibilities for urban programming.

Please mark these dates on your calendar and plan to participate in this exciting opportunity. More information will be available as the planning progresses on the conference web site. http://extension.missouri.edu/urbanconf.
