50th Anniversary Meeting Announced

The 50th Anniversary Meeting of the Southern Forest Insect Work Conference will be held at the Buccaneer Beach Resort on Jekyll Island, Georgia from July 23-26, 2007.

Details of the upcoming 50th SFIWC are now posted at www.sfiwc.org//2007/index.html.  Meeting highlights include:

Date & Place: 23-26 July 2007, Buccaneer Beach Resort, Jekyll Island, Georgia.
 
Room Reservations: Call the Buccaneer toll free at 877-842-3224. Rates for reservations made before June 23 are $98-$107/night, plus 11% tax. After June 23 the room rate will increase significantly.
 
Program: The schedule for the plenary session, business meetings, workshops, etc. is available in a PDF file at www.sfiwc.org/2007/program.pdf.
 
Registration Fee: We anticipate a registration fee of $150 to $175 ($75 for students and retired members). A registration form will be available at www.sfiwc.org//2007/index.html as soon as we finalize the contracts for the mixer and banquet.
 
Posters: If you havent already submitted your title, get it in right away.

A. D. Hopkins Award Nominations:  Nominations due July 1, 2007.
 
Roger F. Anderson Student Award:  Nominations for the first annual outstanding graduate student award are due July 9, 2007.
