The 8th Southern Forestry and Natural Resource Management GIS Conference will be held in Athens, GA December 11-13, 2011.

The 8th SOFOR GIS Conference will encompass topics related to the use of GIS and other geospatial technologies in forestry and natural resource management. We welcome contributions in the following areas, as well as any related topics:

Digital image processing Recreation management
Environmental planning Socioeconomic analysis
Forest inventory / management Soils management
Geospatial technologies Urban forestry
Geodatabase management Water resources management
Landscape ecology Wildlife / fisheries management
