Call for Abstracts Extended - SOFEW 2009 Annual Meeting
The Southern Forest Economics Workers (SOFEW) 2009 Annual Meeting will be hosted by The Forestland Group, LLC (TFG) in Chapel Hill, NC, from March 8 to 10, 2009.
The theme of the 2009 workshop is “Southern Forests and Evolving Markets for Alternative Products and Services.”
The deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended to February 9, 2009. Please submit abstracts to Chris Zinkhan at chris@forestlandgroup.com.
Unmentioned in previous announcements, this year’s meeting will host poster presentations. Although posters are welcome from anyone, only posters from students will be eligible for the poster competition. The poster competition will give prizes of $300 to the first place winner, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. The due date for poster abstracts is February 20th. Please submit poster presentations to Chris Zinkhan.
The registration fee is $225 per person. An early registration fee of $195 is available if your registration is received by February 8, 2009. Registration for students is $95 before February 8 and $125 thereafter. Registration includes all receptions, coffee breaks, lunch on Monday, and a copy of the proceedings, to be mailed after the conference.
