Climate Knowledge for Extension

Climatelearning.net is the online learning hub for the Climate Learning Network (CLN). Created as part of the CLN's mission to foster climate literacy in the Extension community, the site offer e-learning modules and other educational materials designed to provide Extension professionals working in agriculture and natural resources with the information they need to advise their audiences about techniques for adapting to a changing climate.

The office of Southern Regional Extension Forestry (SREF) in collaboration with eXtension and the USDA is pleased to announce the launch of climatelearning.net, the online learning hub for the Climate Learning Network (CLN) that connects Extension professionals working in agriculture and natural resources with climate science education resources relevant to their work.

Climatelearning.net offers a series of online learning modules for Extension professionals that address topics at the intersection of climate science, agriculture and natural resources. Presentations from experts at key organizations and top universities serve as the core of the modules, and each module can be taken for continuing education credits from the Society of American Foresters and/or Certified Crop Advisors. More e-learning modules will be added as the CLN expands.

In addition to hosting the e-learning modules, climatelearning.net provides extensive links to climate science, forestry, and agriculture resources, especially those connected to the 10 USDA Climate Hubs, including a series of informative webinars, which can be viewed on demand at climatewebinars.net.

About the Climate Learning Network (CLN)

The CLN was formed at the beginning of 2015 to promote climate literacy among Extension professionals who work in the areas of agriculture and natural resources and to connect Extension programs within the US Land-grant University System with the 10 USDA Climate Hubs. The program is a collaboration between eXtension, Southern Regional Extension Forestry, and the USDA.
