A preliminary program agenda is now available online for CNREP 2007: The 2nd National Forum on Socioeconomic Research in Coastal Systems. The draft program currently includes 87 oral and poster presentations from natural resource economists, resource managers, and policy professionals from 16 U.S. states and 9 countries. The conference will highlight the status and challenges of socioeconomic research in coastal systems, with a particular emphasis on the survival, resiliency, and/or relocation of communities in Louisiana's rapidly-deteriorating coastal zone. Poster Deadline Extended
Although we are not accepting any additional submissions for oral presentations, the deadline for submission of abstracts for poster presentations has been extended through April 15th, 2007.  Please use the directions from the original call for abstracts if you plan on submitting a poster for the CNREP 2007 conference. Discount for Early Registration

Online registration is now open for CNREP 2007. The cost of early registration is $225 for regular attendees and $150 for students. This fee covers the cost of all conference materials, the Opening Reception on Sunday, May 20th, and breakfasts, lunches, and coffee-breaks on Monday and Tuesday, May 21st and 22nd.   Participants registering for the conference before March 31st pay the $225 early registration fee, receiving a $50 discount over the $275 regular cost. Dinner-Social

An optional $25 fee is required for participants and their guests who wish to attend the Dinner-Social at Begues Restaurant on Monday night in the Royal Sonesta Hotel. This event will feature an extensive array of local seafood and other New Orleans favorite dishes.
