The Forest Landowners Association is pleased to announce Dr. Wayne Clatterbuck of the University of Tennessee as the recipient of the 2008 Extension Forester of the Year Award.

This award recognizes an Extension Forester for exceptional contributions to forest landowner education, issues, and services.Wayne Clatterbuck's primary research interest is in forest stand dynamics focusing on the ecological changes in species composition, stand structure and development during forest succession, and following forest disturbance. His studies center on hardwood silviculture, particularly oak species, and he also directs several graduate students. Dr. Clatterbuck is the author of 20 research publications on hardwood silviculture and many other articles on Tennessee forest resources. He also gives numerous presentations on forest management to professionals and landowners annually. Congratulations Wayne!
