First Call for Papers: IUFRO Extension Working Party Technical Session and Poster Session at Division VI Symposium:Integrative Science for Integrative Management, Sarriselka, Finland
Dates: August 14-20, 2007 -Mark your calendars and join us for this adventure above the Arctic Circle!
The Extension Working Party is conducting two sessions at the Symposium:
1. Technical Session - A two-hour session, entitled, "Integrating Knowledge Discovery and Knowledge Application" will be conducted. We seek papers that address one or more of the following:
New and/or innovative models for integration
Case studies that demonstrate how science findings are conveyed to end users
Best practices and lessons learned
Graduate education that addresses the integration of discovery and application
2. Poster Session - A poster session will be conducted on the same theme as above. To the extent possible, the session will be held at a time and place for maximum attendance. Poster authors will be asked to be present at their poster during a designated portion of the session.
Submissions from all persons and organizations involved in forestry extension, including extension professionals, development workers, researchers, officials, and decision makers, both government and non-government are welcome.
Procedure for Submission:
1. Submit an Abstract with the following information:
- Name and contact information (Name, Title, Organization, Phone and facsimile number, e-mail address, postal address) for all authors.
- Title
- 300-word abstract
- Indicate desired presentation format: ORAL PRESENTATION, POSTER, or ORAL BUT WILL ACCEPT POSTER
2. Submit abstracts electronically to:

3. Abstracts must be received by March 1, 2007. Authors of accepted papers and posters will be notified by the second week of March.
