Forest Biomass Educational Materials Developed

The Southern Forest Research Partnership invites you to review and use several new educational products pertaining to the production and utilization of woody biomass for bioenergy and other bio-based products in the southern US.

Products include:

The Encyclopedia of Southern Bioenergy (http://www.forestencyclopedia.net)

A Trainer’s Curriculum Notebook (found on the http://www.forestbioenergy.net homepage)

The Forest Bioenergy Web-portal (http://www.forestbioenergy.net)

Six self-paced, on-line learning modules housed at the National Learning Center for Private Forest and Range Landowners (http://www.forestandrange.org)

These products have been prepared for your use in advancing the science central to the nation’ s growing interest in domestic, renewable alternatives to gasoline, diesel fuels and electric energy. Our hope is that you will find these products informative and helpful in any forthcoming educational services you provide regarding the emerging forest bioenergy industry.

State-level trainings will occur with help from monetary resources allocated through the Southern Forest Research Partnership. For more information on these trainings, please contact:
