The Master Tree Farmer/Master Wildlifer Program, the regional satellite video shortcourse was recently recognized by the Secretary of the United States Department of Agriculture.  The Secretary of Agriculture presented this award at the annual Honors Award Ceremony in Washington DC on June 25, 2004.  The program has reached over 12,000 participants in 14 states with practical information on forest and wildlife stewardship for private lands management.  The award would not have been possible without the dedicated commitment of hundreds of natural resource professionals, Extension foresters, county agents and sponsors such as the USDA Forest Service, BASF, the American Tree Farm System and others.
