Southern Forest Science: Past, Present, and Future
The USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station has recently released a compendium of works from the 2001 Southern Forest Science Conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.
H. Michael Rauscher and Kurt Johnsen provided editorship for this 393 page conference proceedings. While not every paper was chosen for publication, the editors chose seminal pieces that reflect forest science research and technology transfer over the last 100 years with particular emphasis on research in the Southern Region.
