The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Establishes Longleaf Stewardship Fund

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation recently introduced its Longleaf Stewardship Fund, a collaborative partnership intended to restore the longleaf pine ecosystem and complete Range-Wide Conservation Plan goals.

The Longleaf Stewardship Fund is public-private partnership including the U.S. Department of Defense, the USDA Forest Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Southern Company. The overarching goal of the Longleaf Stewardship Fund is to restore the longleaf pine ecosystem through collaborative and result-oriented actions that contribute to the restoration goals in the Range-Wide Conservation Plan.


The Foundation is requesting proposal applications to be submitted by February 15, 2012. More information about the Longleaf Stewardship Fund and a formal request for proposals can be found here
