16th Biennial Southern Silvicultural Research Conference (BSSRC)
The 16th Biennial Southern Silviculture Research Conference will take place at the Double Tree Guest Suites in the Historic District of Charleston, South Carolina. This meeting will be co-sponsored by USDA Forest Service, NC State University's Forestry and Environmental Outreach Program, Forest Nutrition Cooperative, and others. Drs Chris Maier, Kurt Johnsen, Dana Nelson, and Felipe Sanchez are the program chair and co-chairs, respectively. A team of conference planning committee members (PDF document) oversees the content, program, and proceedings. The event will consist of a poster session, four concurrent sessions, and optional field tours. This year the BSSRC will host a special session focused exclusively on “Southern Forest Science in Support of a Low Carbon Economy”. Conference sessions and tours will be reviewed for SAF Continuing Forestry Education Credits.
