SmallWood 2012: Forest Restoration for a New Economy will take place in Flagstaff, Arizona. The conference will focus on forest resources and the forest products industry in order to build a true forest restoration for a new economy. Participants will learn the valuable skills and information needed to successfully adapt to changes in the current dynamic economy and industry.

SmallWood 2012 includes two full days (May 1-2) of sessions and one day (May 3) of field trip options. The conference boasts an international slate of speakers, including researchers, material and equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and end-users providers. Through technical and poster presentations, discussions, and tabletop exhibits, the conference will cover a variety of relative industry management and biological topics, from harvesting, manufacturing and marketing to biomass energy and sustainability. Accommodations:
The conference will be held at the Little America Hotel in Flagstaff, Arizona. Located on 500 acres of ponderosa pine forest, the Little America Hotel offers awe-inspiring sightseeing and recreational opportunities to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, various national monuments and the Arizona Snowbowl every season of the year.
Poster Submission:
The call for technical posters is now open. Poster presenters receive a $100 discount off registration price. Submissions are due March 1, 2012, and should be submitted online here.
