The “Growing Our Future” forestry meeting, hosted by Clemson Cooperative Extension, will soon take place. Anyone with an interest in forestry is welcome to attend, including professional foresters, landowners, and students. Continuing forestry education (CFE) credits have been applied for. Programs featured this year include: hardwood silviculture (Dr. Stephen Peairs of Clemson University), technology in silviculture (Dr. Tripp Lowe of the University of Georgia), and federal cost share opportunities (United States Department of Agriculture). The meeting will take place in Batesburg-Leesville, SC, on June 1st.
