A National Workshop in Madison, Wisconsin
Over 30 wood products Extension educators and partners convened at the USDA FS National Forest Products Laboratory on September 24-25, 2018 to learn from each other, share programming ideas, build stronger relationships and take a critical look at the future of Extension Wood Products. Through a day and half of presentations, small-group sessions and general discussions, the group identified several common issues, concerns and opportunities. Opportunities and next steps include creating an online directory with complete details with regards to personnel and specialty areas future meetings, a possible listserv, a 2-page summary of the meeting, a possible white paper outlining the current status of Wood Products Extension and future needs, and other opportunities to network and build capacity across the nation.Resources from the Conference
