Volunteer to Share Your Expertise &/or Submit a Brief Abstract & Present Your Research, Programs, & More!

Call for Presenters & Input/Leads for Sessions Deadline November 15th

Volunteer to lead (or co-lead) a mini-workshop, present on a topic in the agenda, and/or submit an abstract to share your research, programs, discoveries and more. Click here to indicate interest, volunteer, or submit an abstract.

There are many talented, knowledgeable Extension personnel attending this meeting and we are inviting you to nominate yourself or submit an abstract to lead (or co-lead) a mini-workshop, presentation, discussion & more. See below for more details. Filling out the form, is not a commitment but an indication of interest.

1.     Presenters needed for specific agenda sessions: 10-15 minute presentations, followed by a panel discussion &/or Q&A

Select 1 or more categories & share details or submit a brief abstract (in the comments section or email to lboby@sref.info)

  • Regional collaborations (share information about any type of regional collaboration in progress, proposed or completed. Presentations should include who is involved, purpose, what you did/are doing, successes, challenges, & more)
  • Novel Funding Ideas or Successes (share ideas on finding funding from an unusual source, or particular successes. Share where the funding source, how it worked, recommendations for others, etc.)
  • Reaching & Retaining Audiences (Share information about your unique programs & approaches to identifying underserved audiences, engaging landowners, retaining audiences & more. Share about your targeted programming, for example woman-focused programs, etc. )

2.     Mini-workshops- Leads/co-leads, experts needed!  30-60 minutes in length, depending on the topic.

    • Evaluation for Extension Programs
    • Facilitation Skills & considerations for Group Dynamics
    • AI for the Extension Professional
    • Developing an Extension Program: Defining your program, goals, objectives, logic models & more
    • Novel programming Ideas- Discuss some novel programming types (ex. podcasts, festivals, etc.) including how they can be done, and pluses/minuses, and then help participants to brainstorm or crowdsource novel ideas for programming for their area. Suggest any ideas below as well. 

3.     Share your quick tips & tools for doing your job! (<5 minutes)

Do you have a tool or technique to share that helps you in your Extension programming/work? Help your colleagues by volunteering to share that tip or tool in flash talk (no powerpoint required). 

4.     Lightning Presentations (<7 minutes)

  • Research you can use (share information about your current, completed or proposed research including results, & take-away points).
  • Novel programming ideas- share information about some interesting programs you've led or contributed towards
  • Ideas or Discoveries Worth Sharing- Share lessons learned, interesting developments, aha moments & more

5.     Discussion Topics!

There will be two spaces in the agenda for discussions about specific topics. Participants can select the topics they are interested in discussing or suggest another topic.
